New glove line works for food processing applications

Ansell’s new additions to its hand protection line use cut-resistant technology and a variable stitch design to reduce hand fatigue

Iselin, N.J. – Ansell has launched new additions to its VersaTouch brand line of versatile hand protection and apparel solutions for the food processing industry.

The additions feature Polar Bear Cut Resistant Technology in the new VersaTouch 74-730 and 74-731 cut-resistant gloves and the complementary VersaTouch 74-732 cut-resistant sleeve.

The company says its Polar Bear Cut Resistant Technology uses advanced material science as well as proprietary spinning and knitting processes to deliver enhanced cut protection without sacrificing comfort.  This breakthrough technology can be found in the new VersaTouch cut resistant 74-730 and 74-731 gloves with enhanced cut protection in high-risk areas providing the ultimate in safety and dexterity.

These gloves also incorporate Ansell’s patented knitted variable stitch design (KVSD) used to reduce hand fatigue as well as advanced fibre technology to manage moisture and hand temperature –taking comfort to the next level.

As the perfect complement to the 74-730 and 74-731 gloves, the new VersaTouch 74-732 sleeve is designed with an engineered yarn that includes Dyneema, a high-performance synthetic fibre, to provide ANSI Level 4 cut resistance.

The new sleeve is also designed with a wider opening than existing sleeves –allowing for easier donning, improved mobility and a more relaxed fit than competitive cut resistant sleeves.
