High-protein and portable chicken skewers

Expresco Foods has launched on-the-go chicken breast skewers called ProSticks.

The company says ProSticks are minimally processed, contain no preservatives, use whole muscle chicken, include a dipping sauce and can be consumed as a cold snack or heated.

Each one contains 21 grams of protein. The chicken is handmade, grilled and portable. They weigh in at 3.5 ounces and retail for $2.99.

The company says the street-food-inspired skewers come in three flavours: Mediterranean, which comes with a Sweet Teriyaki sauce; Sweet Sriracha-Style, which comes with Sriracha sauce; and Chipotle-Style, which comes with Chipotle BBQ sauce.

ProSticks are found in Sobeys stores and selected institutional foodservice cafeterias in Ontario.
