Coating and slicing machines
JBT FoodTech highlighted several products. Its new Stein Ultra V Coating Line includes coating machines that can be used for both free-flow and Japanese crumbs as well as flour-based coatings. JBT acquired USA Sales & Automation LLC last year and JBT now offers slicing technology. The new DSI Adaptive 3D Portioning System allows processors to achieve two, four, six or more portions per butterfly by combining the new DSI Adaptive Slicer with JBT’s waterjet portioning system. And the DSI Consistent Thickness Slicer allows users to control product thickness precisely and consistently.

Heated frying
Thermal fluid heated frying is now more uniform thanks to Heat and Control’s MasterTherm fryer. The MasterTherm fryer uses a unique U-tube heat exchanger that uniformly heats cooking oil throughout the fryer. A small volume of thermal fluid rapidly circulates through the heat exchanger to maintain a consistent cooking temperature.
