Facilities MaintenanceDouglas Machine’s new heat tunnel is gas powered
Douglas Machine Inc. has launched its Contour Gas-powered Heat Tunnel that can reduce energy costs and decrease production downtime with a shorter heat-up time.
The company says the tunnel can heat from 75 degrees F to 360 degrees F in 15 minutes, which cuts the heat-up time by almost 30 per cent.
The tunnel also has a burner design that can optimize heat distribution while minimizing emissions. The burner uses a patent-pending burner box design to ensure even heat distribution and maximize burn efficiency.
The company also says the Contour system can ensure minimal graphic distortion, consistent bull’s eyes and a tight, durable wrap. It uses the company’s laminar flow to balance the tunnel’s heated air.
