Multivac Inc. has launched its new Multivac R 095 thermoformer.
The R 095 thermoformer is just under seven feet long and is suitable for users who have limited space and are new to automated thermoform fill-seal packaging.
The company says all lifting and cutting functions are powered by electric drives instead of pneumatics. This makes the machine energy efficient – a trait not usually available with this type of equipment.
There’s also no cooling water in the machine, which represents a substantial logistical and cost advantage for users. Packages can be formed with a depth of up to 40 mm with flexible design possibilities, along with modified atmosphere (MAP) for extending fresh shelf life.
