Bosch unveiled an advanced version of its bar production system this year.

In a statement, the company says the system is seamlessly integrated and can reach “a constant output of up to 1,500 bars per minute in primary packaging with secondary packaging matching this high speed of the flow wrapper.”

The system includes the Sigpack FIT, which, says the statement, “is intelligent product infeed with linear motor technology.”

The system allows users to push a button for format changes and it offers fast, non-contact product feeding.

The cross-sealing station of the Sigpack HRM flow wrapper is “based on high-precision direct-drive technology and reaches film speeds of up to 150 metres per minute. With the same setup, says the statement, different size bars can be packed, which means no format changes and time saved.

Another highlight is the Sigpack PFI feeding module that uses linear motor technology. The statement says “to transfer the product from the flow wrapper into the Sigpack TTM topload cartoner, the new module gently turns and feeds the products into the grouping chain.” The company says the Sigpack TTM can form, load and close up to 150 cartons per minute.

The company also offers its Bosch Contiline for bar production. The Contiline encompasses the entire production process, says the statement, from mixing, slab forming, pre-cooking, lengthwise cutting and fanning out bars to crosswise cutting, coating and final cooling.

There’s also the WRF 600 Flex roller former. The statement says “the smooth slab former features easy and tool-free adjustments for precise edge cutting of slabs in different sizes.” The WRF 600 can minimize or eliminate trim and product waste. The company also adds that the working width of the unit “can be adjusted during machine operation,” so there’s no downtime.
