Milk Specialties creates specialty proteins designed to optimize health and nutrition
Milk Specialties Co. introduced its CasPro ingredient, which is produced directly from fresh skimmed milk using microfiltration.
CASPRO functions like milk protein concentrate but has higher heat stability, a low level of lactose, a mild flavour and delivers calcium and phosphorus. It’s ideal for cheese and yogurt manufacturing.
The company also highlighted PRObev, which is a heat-stable whey protein isolate that is clear in solution over a wide range of pH levels. It’s ideal for beverages.
The company says PRObev offers a good source of essential amino acids and is very low in fat and carbohydrates. It has a shelf-life of 24 months, a clean taste, comes in liquid or powder form and has more than 90% protein.
