Petcurean hires first-ever U.S. national sales manager

Canadian pet food manufacturer Petcurean has hired Dennis Van Etten as its first-ever national sales manager for the U.S.

In the newly created position, Van Etten will be based in Delran, N.J., and work closely with Petcurean’s existing team of distributor and retail partners to expand the company’s network across the country.

Trevor Snelling, corporate sales manager for North America, said in a press release that the company is thrilled to have Van Etten aboard.

“Dennis has a deep understanding of the pet retail industry across the United States, and with his skill, knowledge and passion for growing and developing talent, our entire team looks forward to learning from and working with him.”

Van Etten has a proven track record of building and leading sales organizations while simultaneously cultivating successful working cultures. Prior to joining Petcurean, he spent 16 years at Canidae Pet Foods, most recently in the role of North American eastern regional sales and distribution manager. In that position, he achieved year-over-year growth for the company, and led a team of territory, district and key account managers.

Chilliwack, B.C.-based Petcurean creates pet food recipes and treats for dogs and cats. The company’s pet foods are sold exclusively through pet specialty retailers in Canada, the U.S. and more than 30 countries internationally.
