July 24, 2020 – Crispers has launched a new cheddar flavour baked snack this summer. It is the first flavour innovation from the iconic Canadian brand in more than a decade.
The company states that with Canadians planning to stay local for their summer activities this year, the timing for the launch supports the snacking moments happening on road trips, picnics, weekend trips to cottages, campgrounds and even staycations.
“In our first global State of Snacking Report, we discovered that 62 per cent of Canadian adults feel that quick on-the-go bites are more suited to their lifestyle than full meals,” says Mackenzie Davison, vice president, growth and marketing.
“With snacking trending as the habit of choice, Canadians are shopping for satisfying and convenient snacks like Crispers Cheddar for summer travel and activities.”
The snacks have a strong Canadian heritage and are baked in Canada at the Mondelez Canada East York location in Toronto, Ont.
Crispers Cheddar joins a family of flavours that include All Dressed; Dill Pickle; Barbecue; Ranch; and Salt & Vinegar, and is available in major grocery retailers across Canada at a suggested retail price of $2.99 in conventional banners and $2.89 in discount banners.
