On Sept. 7 Nestle inaugurated its new Chocolate Centre of Excellence in Broc, Switzerland. The Centre will build on Nestle’s chocolate-making heritage and spearhead research and development in the company’s premium and luxury chocolate category.
The new $25.7 million chocolate facility will house a full team of Nestle specialists, from cocoa bean scientists and chocolatiers, to packaging designers and consumer specialists. A team of independent chocolatiers will also be working with Nestle at the new centre, focusing on bringing innovation and artistic inspiration into the chocolate-making process.
The Broc Centre is part of Nestle’s worldwide research and development network, which features 28 centres and employs approximately 5,000 people. Nestle is currently the leader in dark chocolate worldwide.
