George’s to acquire Ozark Mountain Poultry

George’s Inc. a fourth-generation chicken and poultry company headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas, has agreed to purchase Ozark Mountain Poultry Inc.
Although details of the agreement were not divulged, the deal is expected to close in Q4 2018.
Ozark Mountain Poultry services the foodservice and retail markets with its antibiotic-free and non-GMO processed chicken products via its Forester Farmers Market brand.
The acquisition will help George’s Inc. further diversify its portfolio to grow in the retail market with an established brand.
Ozark Mountain Poultry opened its doors in 2001 and has two facilities in Arkansas, employing over 1,800 people who help process over 1.2 million chickens each week.
George’s is the 11th-largest U.S. poultry processor.
