Lactalis Canada is entering the e-commerce world with Cheeseworld.ca and DairyMarketCulinary.ca.

Cheeseworld.ca is a new direct-to-consumer online specialty cheese store exclusively offering a wide variety of heritage cheeses as well as hard-to-find gems from around the world. It is geared toward cheese lovers and foodies seeking the specialty cheese shop experience paired with the convenience of online shopping and home delivery. The store features new cheese discoveries regularly and will also provide subscribers with special content, such as recipes, tips on creating the ultimate cheeseboard and perfect food and beverage pairings to complement all types of cheese, in the coming months from chefs, artisans and expert cheese makers.

Lactalis Canada is also bringing the convenience of e-commerce to the foodservice industry with DairyMarketCulinary.ca. This new online dairy shop targets culinary professionals, small restaurants, catering businesses and mom-and-pop shops to deliver on their core dairy needs, with an e-commerce option offering an assortment of branded cheese and table spreads, cultured and fluid items, as well as rotating specialty items.

“Lactalis Canada’s entry into e-commerce is in response to new consumer and customer trends in the marketplace, which focus on both the convenience and online experience,” said Mark Taylor, president and CEO of Lactalis Canada. “Cheeseworld.ca caters to the cheese enthusiast looking for delectable new discoveries, while DairyMarketCulinary.ca supplies to a niche segment of the foodservice industry, giving us an opportunity to serve a market different from our retail and foodservice customers and independent to our core business.”
