Summer Fresh Snack’n Go salads is giving consumers more grab and go healthy salad options.
In a statement the company says its new line up is made “fresh with real and simple ingredients.”
Each option is contains “superfood ingredients, including wholesome grains, fresh vegetables and health plant-based protein and fibre.”
In a statement, Susan Niczowski, president and owner of Summer Fresh, says the salads “are great on their own, as an energizing snack between meals or a post-workout boost, or as a protein topping on green salads, or a healthy side to any meal. There is no product like this on the market.”
Snack’n Go salads are vegetarian, contain less than 200 calories, less than 10 g of fat, with no added preservatives, and no added sugar. They come in 115-g snack-size bowl with a snap-off spoon.
The new flavours include Five Bean – Super Charge, Multi-grain Quinoa – Energy, Nine-Grain -Balance, Power Grain – Boost, and Tabouleh – Detox.
The salads come in three-pack sizes, 115-g individual bowls that retail for between $2.49 and $2.99 for the HMR (home meal replacement) and Grab’n Go sections; a three-pack multi-pack that retails for between $6.49 and $6.99 for refrigerated delis; and at Costco consumers can find an eight-pack that retails for $11.69.
