Leamington, Ont.-based Pure Hothouse Foods Inc. is expanding its operations with a new fully operational 60,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in San Antonio, Tex.
“The expansion was initiated in response to an increase in business activity in the southern region,” says Jeff Moracci, CFO of Pure Hothouse Foods.
“Our improved supply chain and delivery capability will significantly enhance our operational efficiency and reduce food miles by providing shorter travel time and a better capability of handling with products coming from our Mexico operations,” he adds.
Pure Hothouse Foods Inc. is a grower, shipper, marketer of greenhouse grown vegetables sold under the Pure Flavor name across North America.
The company’s multi-phase greenhouse expansion, built near the company headquarters in Leamington, Ont., is also expected to pick up as early as spring 2016.
