Canadian-based BevCanna has launched their new range of plant-based functional beverages and products, TRACE Wellness. Meanwhile, PlantX Life vegan products platform has launched PlantXpress, a membership option giving its customers access to a variety of benefits and exclusive membership offers. Also, Baskin-Robbins’ now offers a new oatmilk-based and vegan-friendly  flabour, Strawberry Streusel, a scoop of plant-based goodness that replicates the indulgent experience of ice cream.

Sourced from a natural aquifer deep in the interior of British Columbia, the natural slow filtration of pristine back country rain and melted snow through layers or rock and stone create Trace’s unique spring water. Fulvic and humic minerals, which naturally occur in nutrient rich soils and mineral dense rock sediments, are highly concentrated sources of trace minerals and create TRACE’s subtly pure flavour.

The potential health benefits of fulvic and humic minerals were first recognized centuries ago and current research supports four key benefits: Gut Health, Immune Health, Cognitive Performance and Gentle Cleansing.

TRACE is focused on environment impact as well. TRACE’s newly redesigned labeling has decreased the plastic used by almost 50% – and we’re constantly evolving our packaging solutions to minimize the impact across our entire line of products. Here are the benefits summarized:

  1. Gut Health – Absorb more nutrition from your food. Fulvic and humic minerals promote your cells’ ability to absorb essential nutrients and keep out the bad (also known as selective cell permeability).
  1. Immune Health – Studies show that fulvic and humic minerals act as catalysts, helping activate and energize your immune cells and building a strong natural defense system. By supporting healthy cellular function, they can help protect against free-radical damage.
  1. Cognitive Performance – Fulvic and humic minerals have been shown to help protect against cognitive degeneration and decline, keeping your mind sharp.
  1. Gentle Cleansing – Fulvic and humic minerals also naturally chelate harmful substances such as heavy metals, that may be found in your bloodstream. To chelate means to “bind to” and “break down” particles, assisting in their removal from the body.

As the first major national ice cream shop to offer oatmilk-based flavors, the experts at Baskin-Robbins have been hard at work creating an oatmilk base that has the same smooth and creamy consistency of traditional ice cream with a slightly sweet oat flavor. The result is an oatmilk base that perfectly balances the strawberry, cinnamon granola and crumbly streusel in May’s Flavor of the Month – and delivers on the flavor experience that Baskin-Robbins’ guests love and expect.

“We’re a brand that’s all about creating new flavor experiences and with so many people living plant-based or flexitarian lifestyles today, we couldn’t be more excited to launch our new oatmilk-based option,” said Shannon Blakely, Vice President of Marketing & Culinary, Baskin-Robbins. “We’re so passionate about this new base and Flavor of the Month as it’s not just an evolution of our offerings, but a sign of our passion and commitment to creating what’s ‘next’ in frozen desserts.”
Baskin-Robbins’ new oatmilk-based flavor comes just two years after the brand’s first non-dairy flavors were launched in 2019. In addition to May’s Flavor of the Month, the brand is planning to release additional oatmilk-based flavors later this year.
The new Non-Dairy Strawberry Streusel can be put to an official taste test with “no contact” delivery with DoorDash or Uber Eats – and from May 17- May 23, guests can receive $5 off their first Baskin-Robbins order of $15 or more** on Uber Eats and Postmates, where Baskin-Robbins will be available beginning mid-May. Ice cream fans can also place an order at or through the Baskin-Robbins mobile app for pickup via drive-thru, carry-out, or curbside where available.
