March 27, 2020, Laval, Que. – In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Circle K has announced that all its participating Canadian stores will offer free coffee, tea and Polar Pop (in any size) to healthcare workers and first responders – including police officers, paramedics and firefighters – who are currently making a real difference in communities.

This initiative is also extended to Circle K employees in appreciation and gratitude for their work and for being on the front line to serve customers during these particularly difficult times, the company states.

In Canada, some 1,800 Circle K and Couche-Tard stores and their roughly 10,000 employees will be offering this small comfort to these local heroes until April 16, the company states. The period may be extended depending on the situation’s evolution in the country.

Healthcare workers and first responders who visit any participating Circle K or Couche-Tard store will only be asked to present a professional ID card or demonstrate that they are part of one of the groups to receive a cup of coffee or tea, free of charge, without any other requirements.
