Ontario food processor expands

An Ontario mushroom manufacturer is creating new jobs and increasing its production capacity

Ashburn, Ont. – After several years of significant growth, Greenwood Mushroom Farm is expanding its facility.

Greenwood Mushroom Farm produces locally grown mushroom products marketed under the Windmill Farms brand.

With the help of an investment from the provincial government, the mushroom producer will build a new 115,000 sq.-ft. facility to produce and process new mushroom products, and create 80 new jobs.

The expansion will also increase production by eight to 10 million pounds and increase sales by up to $15 million annually.
