Monster purchases Bang Energy

Monster Beverage Corp. and Vital Pharmaceuticals enter into an asset purchase agreement under which a subsidiary of Monster would acquire Bang Energy’s assets, including a beverage production facility in Phoenix, Ariz.

While Monster is hopeful the transaction will be completed, there is no guarantee it will receive Bankruptcy Court approval. Bang Energy filed for Chapter 11 protections under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in October 2022. This followed the loss of a US$293M lawsuit to Monster concerning false advertising.
