Kancor Ingredients Limited offers its new anti-oxidant OxiKan CL.
The company says the ingredient “is a major breakthrough in the field of natural extracts that help prolong shelf life.”
OxiKan CL is a fully de-colourized and de-odourized extract of rosemary.
For many manufacturers using rosemary extract to extend the shelf life of a product poses the challenge of aroma and colour.
But OxiKan CL has had “unwanted molecules such as chlorophyll, carotenoids, xanthophylls and other less oil soluble non-anti-oxidant molecules” removed, says the company.
OxiKan is natural, high heat stable, has excellent oil solubility, and is ideal for foods “which are sensitive to aroma, colour, and flavour like specialty fats, omega-3 fortified products and beverages.
