Company’s first canola refinery in Canada is its largest in North America
Saskatoon, Sask. – Cargill Ltd. is opening a new state-of-the-art canola refinery in Clavet, Sask.
With the addition of the new refinery, Cargill’s canola operations in Canada now include specialty seed breeding, seed crushing and oil refining.
The facility will be able to refine one billion pounds of canola oil each year. It will be the largest Cargill refinery in North America, and the largest integrated crush and refining facility in the world. Thirty new full-time jobs will be created to run the new plant.
Cargill has six businesses in Saskatchewan, with 28 locations and more than 550 employees.
