
Bühler joins the World Business Council for Sustainable Development

Business Operations Sustainability Bake & Snack FoodBühler has joined the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), a global network with over 200 other companies.
Through joining WBCSD, Bühler plans to make an impact on global corporate sustainability, food and mobility solutions of the future. Bühler technologies produces food for two billion people every day, and their parts contribute one billion people who travel in vehicles.
The WBCSD urges the global business community to create a sustainable future for business, society and the environment. The council shares practices on sustainable development issues and develops innovative tools to improve the current situation.
“Industry must step up and take responsibility for reducing environmental impacts. We are already hitting planetary boundaries. Now – more than ever – it is time to take decisive action to ensure quality of life today and for future generations,” said Ian Roberts, Bühler CTO. “In joining the world’s most responsible business leaders in WBCSD, we are broadening our collaborative approach to bringing about the sustainable turnaround that we so urgently need.”
