South San Francisco, Calif. – Solazyme Roquette Nutritionals has launched a new ingredient that is rich in healthy lipids, dietary fibre, antioxidants and micronutrients.

Almagine HL whole algalin flour is a pure whole food ingredient that is derived from microalgae.

The company says it has a lipid profile that is similar to healthy olive oil and can offer formulators a healthy lipid alternative for reducing fat and calories. At the same time it can improve overall nutritional profiles.

It also contains protein, carbohydrates, emulsifiers and numerous micronutrients such as lutein.
