Surrey, BC. – Global Hemp Group Inc. (GHG) has formed a subsidiary, Golden Hemp BioScience, Inc., an R&D business that will develop profitable hemp-based products such as nutraceuticals, functional foods and nutritional supplements, as well as veterinary medicine and pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Reid Jilek will be CEO of the new Los Angeles-based subsidiary, while Robert Richardson will be executive vice-president and chief R&D officer. The company, which will operate autonomously, hopes to begin filing provisional patents by the end of 2015 Q2.
In fact, GHG says the company has already developed products and will either licence out, joint venture or sell its products to manufacturers in the industry. Its flagship product is a proprietary hemp-based ingredient that balances blood sugar levels.
