TORONTO – Mighty Fine Foods to introduce The Mighty Pickle – a single-serve ‘pickle in a pouch’ – at the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) conference and trade show in Toronto Sept. 12-15.

It is the latest addition to the company’s growing line of heritage foods with a modern-day twist, and the only naturally fermented single-serve pickle on the market.

The Mighty Pickle is a healthy, grab-and-go healthy snack that is convenient. It’s also gluten-free, vegan, low sugar, low carb, and keto-approved.

“Naturally fermented pickles — made with only salt, water, spices and time — are a probiotic food that supports healthy bacteria in our gut. And a healthy gut makes for a healthy mind and body,” said Dina Rock, the founder, president and ‘chief pickling officer’ of Mighty Fine Foods. “A shot or two of our pickle juice brine is also a fantastic pick-me-up that promotes digestive health.”

Mighty Fine Foods appeals to traditional pickle lovers and health-conscious consumers alike, earning Dina a loyal fanbase for her modern take on simple classics. The Mighty Fine product line includes three classic varieties of pickles, sauerkrauts, and new Haymaker’s Punch — a line of fermented natural energy drinks made with apple cider vinegar. Based on traditional recipes enjoyed for centuries by farmers in their fields as a delicious way to keep hydrated when clean water wasn’t available, Haymaker’s Punch comes in three flavours: Tart Cherry Lemonade, Pineapple Turmeric, and Apple Cinnamon.

“Haymaker’s Punch is like an all-natural sports drink — super-energizing and super-hydrating, plus it’s probiotic and good for you,” says Dina.

Mighty Fine Food products are available at Sobey’s, Goodness Me stores, Whole Foods Market, as well as independent grocers and health food stores across Canada.
