March 12, 2020, Toronto, Ont. – Lactalis Canada is introducing Stonyfield Organic Kids Drinkable Yogourt, made with Canadian organic milk and organic fruits, to the marketplace.
The company says the yogurt, produced in Canada, has only four grams of sugar per bottle – lower than any other Canadian kids drinkable yogurt on the market today.
“Milk and dairy products are an important part of our children’s diet because in addition to providing carbohydrates, protein and fat, they provide a wealth of vitamins and minerals, including calcium and vitamin D, ideal for developing bodies and minds,” Adrienne Pagot-Gérault, general manager of the yogurt and cultured division at Lactalis Canada, said in a press release.
“Parents of young children are also the most likely to choose organic products. Continuing the passion that started Stonyfield, we are proud to bring this trailblazing brand to Canada.”
The product is the first organic drinkable yogurt in a portion-size snack for kids in Canada.
Health and wellness expert Sonia Jhas said Canadian parents will feel good about the new organic snack as it is low in sugar.
“It’s a perfect kid-sized, portion-sized snack that’s easy to pack in a lunchbox, a healthy fix for busy days or for those quick breaks between games and lessons.”
The initial Canadian product launch will include three varieties of Stonyfield Organic Kids Drinkable Yogourt in six packs of convenient 93-millilitre bottles, including strawberry, strawberry banana and very berry.
Lactalis Canada directly employs 3,500 Canadians who provide key services to the company’s 17 manufacturing sites and national supply chain.
