Alfa Laval has introduced new versions of its well-known mixproof valve. The new versions are  High Alloy and UltraPure and, says the company, they can help ensure hygienic manufacturing of food, dairy and beverage products.

Alfa Laval explains that in the food, dairy and beverage industries, manufacturers may face corrosion challenges, especially when it comes to products that contain high chloride concentrations or low pH levels.

The company offers these examples:

  • Food: soy sauce, ketchup or citrus acid extraction
  • Dairy: lactic acid, whey and brine from cheese manufacturing
  • Beverage: isotonic drinks, minerals dosing and hot water systems

Alfa Laval says its newly launched high-alloy versions of the Unique Mixproof valve offer product safety and longer equipment life. The valves come in two optional materials: Hastelloy C22 and AL6XN.
