London, U.K. – The Top Canadian Producer of the Year Award at the 43rd annual International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) went to a Canadian winery with facilities in Ontario and B.C.
Inniskillin Niagara Estate Winery collected its award at the ceremony at Guildhall in London.
“Capturing the Top Canadian Producer at the IWSC is a very significant win as our Canadian wine industry continues to grow,” said Bruce Nicholson, a winemaker at Inniskillin.
“This is truly an impactful and emotional tribute to all our collective efforts in winemaking and viticulture; it keeps Inniskillin’s highly respected reputation and continued commitment to producing quality wines of excellence in the forefront.”
Nicholson previously won the Canadian Producer of the Year Award four times as winemaker for Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate Winery. Winning this past award makes him the only Canadian winemaker to win from two different Canadian viticulture regions and two different Canadian wineries.
