SIAL Canada has been postponed for a second time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will now take place Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, 2020, at the Palais des Congrès in Montreal, Que.
The expo had originally been scheduled for April 15-17 and was rescheduled for Aug. 5-7. Now it has been pushed back.
Xavier Poncin, director general Expo Canada France/SIAL Canada, said in a notice on the expo website that the action was taken in response to the newest measures implemented by the Quebec government and to secure greater peace of mind for everyone planning to attend.
“We firmly believe that these dates will result in an even greater outcome for our 2020 edition, and conditions will be right for smooth economic recovery,” he stated.
“Our team is already busy working on the autumn edition. SIAL Canada, the largest international agri-food expo in North America, will undoubtedly be synonymous with inspiration and economic recovery.”
SIAL Canada is a national tradeshow that offers up a complete range of food products, food-related equipment and technologies for the food processing, foodservice and food retailing industries.
