Proteina launches organic, high-protein cheese in Ontario

July 28, 2020, Toronto, Ont. – Online store Proteina High Protein Foods has launched a high-protein cheese developed specifically to support weight loss and muscle growth or for those seeking a healthy alternative.
“As a health-minded consumer who also loves cheese, I was continually disappointed by the options available to me,” says Alex Huras, founder of Proteina. “I was ecstatic to find a small, organic dairy farm in Quebec creating a cheese that was not only much better for you, but tasted amazing. We’re now partnered with them to bring this cheese to Canadians on a much larger scale.”
From a nutritional standpoint, Proteina cheese has 33 grams of protein, five grams of fat, and 200 calories per 100 grams (32 per cent more protein, 85 per cent less fat, and 50 per cent less calories than traditional cheddar).
“Canadians really haven’t seen a cheese like this before,” says Huras. “Our cheesemakers have managed to jam as much protein as possible into the cheese, while still maintaining a great taste.”
Proteina is 100-per-cent organic, lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian-friendly and made in Canada.
Proteina cheese is available in 300-grams sizes for $13 and 700-gram sizes for $25. It’s currently available for shipment anywhere in Ontario, with plans to expand distribution to the rest of Canada soon.
