Premium Brands Holdings Corporation has acquired Interprovincial Meat Sales - and an entry point into Canada's East Coast market

Richmond, B.C. – Premium Brands Holdings Corporation has acquired a new business and an entry into Eastern Canada.

The B.C. company has just acquired Interprovincial Meat Sales Ltd., which is based in Dartmouth, N.S. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Premium Brands owns a range of specialty food manufacturing and differentiated food distribution businesses with operations in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. In the U.S., the company has operations in Nevada and Washington State.

Interprovincial Meats is a meat trader and distributor of beef, poultry and pork, and serves all the Maritime provinces.

In December, Premium Brands acquired Diana’s Seafood of Toronto, which has sales of approximately $18 million, and Island City  Baking and its affiliate Conte Foods of Vancouver, which combined had annual sales of approximately $20 million.
