Most consumers know wheat once it becomes pasta or pastry. But many consumers don’t know how wheat comes to be part of their diet.

So the U.S.-based Wheat Foods Council created How Wheat Works, an interactive, online program that launched last month.
How Wheat Works is a virtual farm-to-fork experience built for people of all ages, the council explains on its website.

The program combines factual information, vibrant video and 3-D animation and fun, educational activities.
Consumers will have the opportunity to grow and harvest their own wheat field, mill the golden grain and create their own wheat food of choice.
