July 16, 2020, Vancouver, B.C. – FoodX Technologies, a leading scalable end-to-end software solution for profitable online grocery fulfillment, has announced the appointment of Walter Robb, food industry veteran of more than 35 years, to its advisory board.

With decades of leadership experience, Robb is an investor, mentor and advisor to the next generation of food industry ventures as Principal of Stonewall Robb Advisors, which he founded in 2017. In addition, for more than two years he has served as executive in residence at S2G Ventures, a Chicago-based seed to growth sustainable food investment fund.

Over the course of his career, Robb has invested in and been closely involved with a number of cutting-edge companies. He aims to bring all of his food industry experience, especially that of which he gained during his time at Whole Foods Market, to help companies create the “new world order” of food.

“We are excited to welcome Walter to our advisory board and the FoodX Technologies mission,” said Peter van Stolk, CEO of FoodX Technologies. “Walter has been an incredible mentor to me since I first met him, and I am thrilled about the leadership insights, care and deep experience he will offer to the team. And he will bring tremendous value to the company as we scale our software solution to retailers who are looking for a profitable end-to-end online solution for their markets.

“We have all seen the impact that COVID has had on online grocery and look forward to working closely with Walter as we continue to meet the demands of the new normal in grocery.”

Robb added, “FoodX Technologies is on the cutting edge of the new generation of grocery, incorporating innovative technology and machine learning to serve the customer more efficiently and at a lower cost. I am looking forward to supporting Peter and the FoodX Technologies team as they grow the company.”

Robb joined Whole Foods Market in 1991 and in 2010 was named co-CEO, at which time he joined the company’s board of directors. He currently serves on the board of directors for Union Square Hospitality Group, The Container Store, Aphria Inc. and Apeel Sciences.
