Toronto-based BlueOcean NutraSciences has put the world’s first omega-3 shrimp oil dietary supplement products on the market.
Available in regular strength soft gels, double strength soft gels and extended-release tablets, the company says it has already begun receiving orders from consumers online for its new Pure Polar Omega-3 Shrimp Oil products.
According to Packaged Facts data, the global market for omega-3 supplements is estimated to be approximately $4 billion. A shrimp oil alternative in this category offers consumers a formulation containing high omega-3 EPA and DHA, high astaxanthin, and phospholipids – something the company calls “a truly three-in-one product.”
Furthermore, BlueOcean says its Pure Polar Omega-3 Shrimp Oil formulations contain more than two times more omega-3 EPA and DHA, and 10 times more astaxanthin than typical retail krill oil brands. They also contain phospholipids for better absorption of omega-3s.
In addition to being available for order online directly from the company at purepolarshrimp.com, these products will also be available on Amazon, eBay and a number of other online sales outlets in the coming weeks.
BlueOcean NutraSciences Inc. is a Canadian listed public company that develops sustainable, specialty nutraceutical oil products targeted at the growing natural astaxanthin, omega-3 and algal oil health and wellness markets.
