AgScape celebrates its 30th anniversary as an organization dedicated to bringing food & agriculture education to students across Ontario this year. Their second virtual annual general meeting (AGM) was held recently.

AgScape staff, board of directors, members and key supporters were joined by Ontario’s agriculture minister Hardeman.

“Now more than ever, Ontario youth need to know how their food is grown and made. Ontario students need to know about the dynamic career opportunities that exist in Ontario’s Agri-food sector. Providing 860,000 jobs across the province, Ontario Agri-food sector is growing and developing all the time. We need our youths of today to be the leaders of this important sector tomorrow,” said Hardeman.

Also, Kathryn Doan is returning to the executive as chair, Jennifer Kyle as vice-chair and Jennifer Peart as treasurer.
