Lactalis Canada names ex-General Mills staff as new VP

Lactalis Canada appoints Alexander Benedet as vice-president, customer strategy & development. In this position, Benedet will be responsible for building and leading revenue growth management, e-commerce and shopper marketing, sales operations and business development teams under a newly created centre of excellence for the commercial function at Lactalis Canada.
“With Lactalis Canada’s continued growth and commitment to service excellence, Alexander will be integral to aligning sales processes and business development across our fluid, cheese and yogourt divisions and working closely with our key customers so that we can optimally deliver on their respective plans and strategies,” said Mark Taylor, president and CEO, Lactalis Canada.

Benedet boasts over 20 years of experience in progressive leadership roles within consumer packaged goods. He was most recently at General Mills where he served as vice-president of sales strategy, capabilities and planning. Prior to that, he was the vice-president of marketing and has held multiple leadership roles in finance with the company.
