Four companies have announced a merger, which will create one of the largest vertically integrated organizations producing veal and lamb products.
The companies include Quebec-based Delimax Veaux Lourds, an organization that produces grain-fed and milk-fed veal for markets across Northeastern North America.
The other companies include New Jersey-based Catelli Brothers, and California-based Specialty Meats Inc.
The fourth partner is NRV, which produces premium powdered milk replacer products. It’s based in Wisconsin.
AlbertaFarmExpress.ca reports that Alto Dairy Co-operative sold NRV, which was formerly known as Real Veal, to Delimax in 2007.
The new company will serve the retail and foodservice industries throughout the U.S. The veal and lamb will be sold under the brands Catelli Brothers, Catelli Brothers Italian Bistro, Lido Gourmet, Chef’s Reserve, and Summit Ridge.
