
Dairy giant acquires Nova Scotia milk processor

Longueuil, Que. – Agropur Cooperative is acquiring Chebogue, N.S.-based Cook’s Dairy Farm Ltd.
Family-run Cook’s Dairy is the leading milk brand in Southwest Nova Scotia, producing approximately 2.7 million litres of fluid milk and other dairy products annually.
According to Agropur, the acquisition will strengthen the company’s position in the milk and cream market in Nova Scotia. “Agropur is very committed to supporting a strong dairy industry in Canada and the Cook’s Dairy acquisition brings us closer to our objective, furthers our strategy to give us a greater reach in this region, as well as deepens our market presence and product variety,” says Agropur CEO Robert Coallier.
