Business Operations Fruit & Vegetables Editor pick Nortera Quebec

Bonduelle Americas Long Life rebrands itself as Nortera. This follows the acquisition of 65 per cent of Bonduelle Americas Long Life’s shares by Fonds de solidarité FTQ (32.5 per ent) and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (32.5 per cent) on June 30. The Bonduelle Group retains 35 per cent of the new entity’s shares.

“This new chapter ushers in a bright future for a new brand that’s built on a solid foundation. Nortera is a name that reflects the North American regions where we harvest and grow our vegetables, our connection to the land and soil where our food is grown, and a new era of forward-looking prosperity. We’re thrilled to form this partnership with two of Québec’s major financial shareholders, FTQ, CDPQ and the Bonduelle Group. The capital injection will help Nortera continue to grow for the future, and I can think of no better scenario than that,” said Nortera’s general manager Daniel Vielfaure.
