The Versatron Case Packer from Standard-Knapp offers gentle and consistent handling

Portland, Conn. – Standard-Knapp, a manufacturer of packaging machinery, offers its Versatron Case Packer with lowering head module.

The company says the module is ideal for customers looking for gentle, positive handling of their product yet rugged enough to operate 24/7. When equipped with this module, the Versatron Casepacker can continue to operate as a robust drop packer or can be quickly converted to a lowering head case packer.

The Versatron with lowering head can also be an ideal solution for the partition-less packing of products made with glass, aluminum, PET or other materials. Partition-less packaging allows for the use of less material in packing.

The lowering head module can be equipped with various gripper heads to provide safe, consistent damage-free placement of product into each case with zero drop. Depending on the size of the product, the lowering head can operate at 30 cycles per minute. Designed primarily with wine, liquor, and beer containers in mind, it can also handle locking shape containers.

The module is designed with more Lexan doors and panels for increased visibility, so that operators can perform preemptive, walk-by maintenance.
