Henkel Corporation’s new range of porcelain tiles is sustainable

Henkel Corporation has launched a new range of 3/4-inch thick porcelain tiles with four-per-cent recycled content under its Tufchem Tiling Systems.
For developers pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, the new tiles qualify for indoor air quality credits.
The company says every tile in the product range contains at least four per cent recycled material and it plans to expand the range to include tiles with 40 per cent recycled content.
Also, by choosing from among the more light reflective colour options, designers may reduce lighting demand and associated energy consumption.
