Tate & Lyle’s new stevia sweetener, Tasteva, can halve the sugar used by food processors

London, U.K. – Tate & Lyle’s new Tasteva Stevia Sweetener can halve the sugar used in foods and beverages.

The company says Tasteva is a zero-calorie sweetener from a natural source.

Tasteva can allow 50 per cent or greater sugar reduction levels in foods and beverages without the bitter/liquorice aftertaste often associated with other high purity, stevia-based sweeteners.

The company says it starts with the aqueous extraction of steviol glycosides from the stevia leaves. It then further purifies and concentrates the extract to create the optimal steviol glycoside composition that helps to provide a clean, sweet taste at high sugar-replacement levels.

Tasteva is versatile, suitable for use in sugar-free, no-sugar-added and reduced-sugar beverages and food.
