The new X4 Series from Carrier Transicold can deliver high refrigeration capacity in a trailer refrigeration platform

Athens, Ga. – Carrier Transicold has introduced its X4 Series for North America.

The series is a line of refrigeration and cooling units for use in commercial trailers.

The company says the X4’s 7300 and 7500 models are single-temperature belt-driven models that provide 66,000 BTUs and 68,000 BTUs of cooling at a set point of 35ºF (100ºF ambient temperature).

Carrier’s ecoFORWARD technologies refine the design of unit components and equip the 2.2 litre engine with sensors and an electronic control module that communicates with Carrier’s APX control system for optimized performance.

The units weigh 104 kg (230 lbs) and meet the EPA’s Tier 4 emissions standards. According to Transicold, they use less fuel – between five and 22 per cent less – than the older models they replace in the Transicold line.
