Minneapolis, Minn.-based MOCON, Inc. is announcing significant enhancements to its GreenLight rapid microbial detection system. The innovative oxygen sensor vials used with the GreenLight system now feature a 50-per-cent shelf life increase, as well as a broader storage temperature range.

The APCheck vials now offer an 18-month shelf life at storage temperatures ranging from 4 to 40 C. The significance of this for quality control professionals is that the testing vials will be usable for a longer period of time without having to make an investment in costly refrigeration equipment.

The GreenLight rapid microbial detection system is currently being used in a wide range of applications including food, beverage, pharmaceutical and industrial products. www.mocon.com
