Top product picks from the CFIG’s annual tradeshow and conference

Toronto, Ont. – During this year’s Grocery Innovations trade show, which took place Oct. 24 and 25 in Toronto, the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) announced its Top 10 Innovative Products for 2012.

The products were selected based on voting by industry delegates visiting the show, based on three criteria: most unique, most buzz-worthy, and best consumer response.

“The grocery industry is often at the forefront of innovation and this year was no different,” says John F.T. Scott, CFIG president and CEO, “Our members and delegates had a tough decision before them and have chosen some truly outstanding products.”

As well as two grocery industry products – Ntale EcoDurable Bags from EcoDurable Products, and Visionlink Security Monitoring Systems from Visionlink Security Inc. – eight food products were named as most innovative for 2012.
