Technology can help destroy E. coli

Toronto – Theralase Technologies Inc. says its patented Photo Dynamic Compounds (PDCs) can be used for another application.

The company says the PDCs can destroy Escherichia coli (E.coli), a disease-causing bacteria.

The company says its patented Theralase PDCs have shown an ability to destroy bacteria when light activated. This is from new research performed under the direction of Dr. Arkady Mandel, Theralase’s chief scientific officer.

Future applications for food processors include enhanced sterilizing of processing equipment.
