The family owned and operated grocery store chain has launched its own line of authentic Mediterranean-style food products

NF_Coppas_WOP_PastaSauce_Basil_1LCoppa’s Fresh Market, a family owned and operated grocery store chain with three locations in the Greater Toronto Area, has announced the official launch of its own line of authentic Mediterranean-style food products inspired by the Coppa family’s Italian heritage.

Called Nonna Francesca’s, the line was named in honour of their family matriarch and draws inspiration from her homemade recipes.

“We want to share our favourite home-cooked recipes; the ones our grandmother would make,” says Coppa’s Fresh Market President, John Louie Coppa. “We hope to give our customers a little insight into what it was like growing up in an Italian home, sharing some of life’s greatest moments around the dinner table. Our goal is to keep that tradition alive with Nonna Francesca’s and let our customers enjoy all the savoury Italian favourites we grew up with, using the same authentic ingredients.”

Coppa’s is releasing the company’s first few Nonna Francesca’s recipes just in time for the holiday season, with authentic pasta sauces and hand-made pizzas available on their Fresh Market shelves. “This is our first launch,” says Coppa. “With the holiday entertaining season approaching and the whole idea of family togetherness playing such a central role, the timing was perfect. We think it’s the ideal time to launch.”

Future Nonna Francesca’s offerings are likely to include ready-made pastas, bakery items, and even an olive oil and balsamic vinegar, all made in the spirit of their grandmother’s exacting standards.
