Food processor hosts fundraiser

Montreal – The city’s residents were invited to a huge barbecue event last week to raise money for Food Banks Canada and its local chapter, Moisson Montreal.

Bick’s brand, part of the Smucker Foods of Canada company, called the one-day event Grill and Give.

The company says it sold more than 400 hamburgers and donated more than $2,000 and 400 bags of food (oatmeal, evaporated milk, jam and Bick’s pickles) to Moisson Montreal.

This is in addition to the $25,000 and 125,000 bags of oatmeal that will be donated to Food Banks Canada later this year.
