Exeter, Ont. – A company based in Florida has acquired Ontario’s Huron Produce Ltd.

In a statement from Lipman Family Farms, the company’s COO, Darren Micelle, says “the addition of Huron gives us extraordinary product depth, expands our collective capabilities and broadens our distribution footprint, allowing us to better serve our customers…”

Lipman, which was established in the 1930s, is one of the largest open field tomato growers in North America.

Huron Produce is a greenhouse grower and distributor of tomatoes and vegetables with operations in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. The company packs its products under the Suntastic brand.
