Ventura Foods acquires Wing’s Foods’ sauces and condiments business

Brea, Calif.-based Ventura Foods, a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of custom and branded sauces, dressings and food oils, has acquired the sauces and condiments business of Toronto- and Edmonton-based Wing’s Foods.

Wing’s is a leading Canadian manufacturer of a full range of condiments, sauces and dressings. A family business that began in 1953 with the goal of supplying Oriental noodles to Chinese restaurants, Wing’s expanded over the years to include a full range of products created specifically for the consumer and foodservice markets.

The newly acquired business will become Ventura Foods Canada, and will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Wing’s Asian Heritage business, including their Noodle, Wrap and Cookie business, is not part of the acquisition. It will continue to operate as Wing’s Food Products and retain the Wing’s Brand.

CCC Investment Banking acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Wing’s Foods.
