Through a repayable provincial investment, Andrew Peller will add new equipment

Kelowna, B.C. – Andrew Peller Limited received a boost from the province late last month.

The provincial government is investing more than $1 million so that Andrew Peller will be able to purchase new equipment for its two operations in Grimsby, Ont. and Kelowna, B.C.

The funds will go toward purchasing and installing fully automated bag-in-box packaging assemblies at both winery operations.

The new equipment will upgrade the company’s bag-in-box lines to today’s technological standards, resulting in improved efficiency, less packaging material waste and longer product shelf life.

The company says the investment will help the wine industry thrive in the marketplace and will bolster the economy through increased demand for primary agricultural products and increased production and sales, creating more opportunities for producers to get their product to market.
